CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – We are two weeks away from Thanksgiving and that means families in need will be looking for food for a traditional turkey dinner. Local food banks are seeing an increase in demand for food this time of year and need donations to keep up. As Thanksgiving fast approaches, local food banks are working tirelessly to provide necessary resources for those in need. According to the Executive Director for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts Andrew Moorehouse, the cost of living continues to rise, making it difficult for many families to put food on the table.
