The mission of the Rachel’s Table Teen Board is to alleviate childhood hunger, educate youth about food insecurity, and advocate for food justice in western Massachusetts through events and projects.
The Rachel’s Table Teen Board holds twice monthly programming for teens in Middle and High School from September to May. At one of these monthly meetings, teens learn about food insecurity, Rachel’s Table, and more. One meeting is a community service event, where teens gain hands-on experience serving the community.

Artsfest 2027: Food, Community, and Food Systems
What is Artsfest?
Artsfest is an art show put on by Rachel’s Table Teens celebrating youth creativity and changemaking, designed to spark conversations about food, community, and food systems in Western Mass among peers, classmates, and families, and inspire youth to create art! Accepted submissions will be showcased at our show in April, open to the broader community to enjoy and be guided to think deeply about food in our local community.
Who can submit art?
Youth, ages 18 and under! We encourage individuals, partnerships, groups, or entire classes to submit art!
What is required of adult educators/group leaders?
To help an individual or group participate, lead them in an art project (collaborative or individual) in response to the educational information and prompts that will be shared by Rachel’s Table. Assist with deadlines and submission.
November 15th – Educational information and art prompts will be publicized in an email, on the RT Teens Instagram page @rachelstableteens, and on the Rachel’s Table of Western Mass website, feedwma.org.
Early March, date TBD – Deadline to submit art
April, date TBD – Show opening (gallery will be open for approximately a month)
