Rachel’s Table
Rachel’s Table, a program of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts for the past 30 years, has rescued and purchased food since 1992 in the Pioneer Valley, MA. Additionally, RT began gleaning for donation in 2007 with the plethora of local farms, and its most recent food equity program, officially launched in 2022, Growing Gardens, helps each of its 56 agencies who want to grow their own food in connection with their constituents. Rachel’s Table strives to be a holistic approach to food security, working with an intergenerational group of volunteers, from teens to nonagenarians, in partnership with local diverse communities, to learn, educate, advocate, reduce food waste and alleviate hunger.
