WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A collaboration between Eastern States Exposition and Rachel’s Table of Western Massachusetts, more than 1.5 tons of food was donated by vendors for those in need during The Big E fair this year.
A food drive was facilitated by The Big E among concessionaires at the fair to generate 3,138 pounds of surplus food to donate to the Springfield-based organization. Rachel’s Table distributed the food collected to 10 local organizations including food pantries, community meal programs, after-school centers, shelters, and more.
