ANNOUNCING JURIED ART SHOW
REQUEST FOR SUBMISSIONS
The Teen Board of Rachel’s Table, a program of the Jewish Federation of Western MA, is sponsoring an art show to raise awareness of hunger and food insecurity in our local community.
Education and Inspiration
The Teen Board is looking for art primarily from children and teenagers that educates about this topic – possibly including statistics, who is affected and why, and/or inspires us about what we can do to alleviate hunger.
What kind of art can you submit?
Your visual art work can consist of drawing, painting, graphic design, felting, sculpture – any kind of art that can be represented well in digital form and emailed to us for our judges to see.
Art will be juried by artist age group: 8-12, 13-16, 17-19. Over 19 – welcome yet smaller category.
What do you need to do?
Let us know you are planning to submit by April 1. Then, submit a high-quality digital version of your art to Teen Board Director Zoe Maniaci by April 26th: zmaniaci@jewishwesternmass.org and include
- Name, age at the date of your submission, date of birth, email address, cell phone number, town, school you attend if applicable
- Title of your work
- Whether you can make it to receive your prize should you win on May 22, 6:30pm at Sinai Temple in Springfield, MA

If your piece is one of the winning art works, we will contact you. We thank you for joining us in learning and sharing about hunger and food insecurity.
We encourage artistic innovation and educational depth around this topic. Food insecurity is a serious concern in our local and national communities and the Teen Board of Rachel’s Table educates peers about hunger and works towards solutions.
Rachel’s Table, a program of the Jewish Federation of Western MA, has been working to alleviate hunger and reduce food waste in western MA since 1992.
