Food Donor Information
Items we CAN take to be donated:
- Unexpired non-perishables
- Any condiments or salvage items
- Frozen meat or frozen food in general (ice-cream, etc.)
- Cooled or room temperature raw produce
- Prepared foods that have stayed wrapped (sandwich, salads)
- Prepared foods that were heated, unserved, and have cooled enough for vendor to package tightly; or frozen prepared foods
- Room temp products – unopened (bread/rolls/bun, rice, pasta)
Items we CANNOT take to be donated:
- Items that have been opened and served
Unacceptable Items:
- Homemade or non-packaged foods
- Food that is damaged, open, or expired
- Food with missing labels or unclear ingredients (important for allergen concerns)
Packaging Requirements:
- Foods should be in original packaging or sealed containers
- If repacking is necessary, use clean, food-safe materials and clearly label contents, expiry dates, and allergen information
