Emily Mastellone-Snyder

Director of Strategic Partnerships, Marketing, and Communications

Emily Mastellone-Snyder (she/her) came to Rachel’s Table in 2025 with more than two decades of leadership in mission-driven organizations that strengthen communities through food, farming, and education. She believes that expanding access to nourishing food and deepening people’s connection with the natural world are critical pathways toward building well-being for people and the planet.

Throughout her career, Emily has led fundraising campaigns, cultivated strategic partnerships, and designed programs and events that engage supporters and communities. As a longtime educator, she has directed outdoor, environmental, and farm-based programs that inspire learners of all ages. She lived for 17 years in and around Santa Cruz, California, where she farmed, taught as a naturalist, and held leadership roles at several nonprofits, including eight years at Life Lab, a national leader in garden-based education.

Emily graduated summa cum laude from Skidmore College with a bachelor’s in Sociology and Environmental Studies, and holds a certificate in Sustainable Food Systems and Ecological Horticulture from the UC Santa Cruz Center for Agroecology. She also holds certificates in Grassroots Development & Social Change and as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. Emily speaks Spanish and has lived, worked, and volunteered across the U.S. and Central America.

A Western Massachusetts native, she returned with her family in 2023 and is thrilled to join the team at Rachel’s Table. Outside of work, you can find her exploring with her two young daughters in the forest, at a river, on a bike, or in the garden—usually singing as she goes. She looks forward to connecting with you!
